Mole day 

This is one of my best chemistry lessons and CAS activity this was mainly about spreading awareness to everyone about the mole concept. And my group helped me to achieve this goal in a very interesting way. We basically explained the mole concept in terms of football because we thought to make this interesting. We told them to play football as well which they enjoyed and we also had a bake sale

Learning outcomes:

Show perseverance and commitment : this task would not be easy without early planning and preparation  it would be almost impossible for it to happen without a lot of effort.

Work collaboratively with others: This task is impossible without the help of my team mates 

it would be really hard to do it my self because i myself didn't now know myself what exactly the mole concept was and preparing all the work for the project would be impossible.

Plan and initiate activities: As i mentioned earlier there was a lot of work that we had to work really hard to initiate in the program.

Engage with issues of global importance: i think it was an issue of global importance cause it is important for all the children to know about such concepts.

                                                    Football
 This one of the sports that i am interested in, as a new student to this school i was really nervous about the fact weather my teammates would really support me and weather they will accept me. But as my training sessions as an ISSAK open boys team member went on i got used to my teammates and i was able to communicate and connect with them properly. Even though i played football before i only used to play for fun but never in a team. In my last school they never allowed new comers to join the team but in this school it was different and i really liked that fact, this in fact made me more strong in choosing to play the sport.

Undertake new challenges:
Through out this 2 month football season i had to take many new challenges, my main challenge was to balance my study time and football time. It was also really difficult for me to play in a new position were i never played before. I had to change from being a right back to being a center back. most of u might think that it is really easy but it is not as easy as u think it is. you have to change allot of techniques. There were some match situations that i had to play as a striker, these situations were really tough i had to think of how to change my game play within a really short duration

Develop new skills:
As i mentioned earlier i played football in a different possition and it took me allot of difficulty to get out of my comfort zone and learn all the new skills of how to change the game style and play in different positions. This may sound really funny but i also developed the skills of patience i didn't play in all matches but in some i was substitute i learnt that i have to be really patient and just listen to the coach as he knows more than what i know.

Work collaboratively with others:
We all know that football is a team game, and we know that we need all the players to put in their best to go ahead and win matches. At the begining i thought that it will be really difficult to coordinate as we had a really short time but we all used each and every second of our practice to improve our communication and this helped us win most of our matches.
This improvement helped us grow grow as a team

PROMOTING CRICKET

 One of the greatest idea that I got was this. We see that there are very many peoplthem. And our main final challenge was arrabgig thying football in Uganda, many schools teaching football, basketball, and other sports but cricket is one sport that is played by a very few people in Uganda but there are many intrested in learning cricket so why not teach the schools cricket. And then I got a few schools arranged with the help of my tuition teachers and there we went to two schools who had no idea what cricket was but were really interested in the game. In the time of 1week  we fought these schools cricket. We had a really tough time cause it was our first time but successfully we taught them.  The intrest that they had was amazing which made it easy for us and for them. They learnt all the rules and the style of play and believe me or not they were the fastest learners I have ever seen. It took me more than two years to learn the basic rules of cricket they learnt it in one week which was really surprising for me. We allways have our tests to know were we stand teachers also have the test weather they taught students properly so I have my test tommorow as the schools are going to play a match tommorow I can check weather we have taught them properly and weather they learn perfectly. But I am really confident that they will pass and make me pass.

Learning outcomes

Increase your awareness of your own strengths and your areas of growth: Before i started this I never new that I could coach anyone because it was my first time and it was really helpfull. I could teach many people which really gave me an inner proud that I was helping the people who did not have the facilities to play.

Show perseverance and commitment in your activities : I am very sure that I put a lot of  effort this week because I went everyday and was with the schools teaching them cricket for about three hours everyday and arranged all the equipment to be set to play.

Work collaboratively with others : This was a really important thing in this project, nothing would be possible without my friends helping me out to teach cricket to the kids. Cricket is a sport which is divided into many things if we didn't divide the work it would be really difficult to complete the work the two main people who were actively participating with me are Nitin and Siddharth.

Undertake new challenges: I think we did undertake new challenges because it was the first time that I ever coached a team and taught a sport. It was really togh and we had to do a lot of hard work. Firs and foremost I had to get back in form because it was a really long time since I played cricket.

Devolop a new skill: As I mentioned earlier it was my first time I ever taught a tea so this was obviosly the main skill that I developed. It was really a great experiance t teach and I leaent that it is really tough to teach and all teahers n the world must be facing problems.

Plan and initiate activities: we obviously had to do this we had to plan eveeyday wat we had to teach them our main plannng happened when we had to arrange a match agans both the schools but luckly with a lot of work we could conduct it.
